My favourite is the Olive Tree.

Bugis Junction is a bit crowded to be romantic.
Maybe you can try Garibaldi at Purvis street.
It is not cheap though, but the other time i went they have UOB 1 for 1.
Check 1st.

Here is a link

Garibaldi can get quite packed too...
I recall Doc Cheng (next door at Raffles) had "cubicle" seats with curtains... might be suitable

but I've not visited them for a while now so things might have changed...

If you can travel one block down to Raffles Hotel, try Doc Cheng's. There you can get a little cubicle all to yourself with even a sort of curtain to make it very private. Food wise good but not excellent. Romantic wise, Hooo Mama, hold on to your pants! :D

Did the chicken really cross the road or did the road move beneath the chicken?

Yes, for Bugis Junction,
think Ma Maison or Olive Tree will be a good choice.

Agree that Ma Maison is a good choice, though may not be very romantic. It is more towards a family restaurant where Japanese frequent too. They even give out toys for children.

Just went to Ma Maison yesterday.
The setting is quite romantic and the prices are quite affordable.

Tried their Hamburger beef stew. Very nice.
Cost only about $16+ for that.
I'll probably eat that again next time i go back there. :)

And let me guess, your favorite cook is "Chef" from South Park.
